There are three main types of binding we use at Print4London.com. Other binding options are available on request - just call our customer service team on 0800 917 6377.
- Saddle stitching refers to folded sheets gathered together one inside the other and then stapled through the fold line with wire staples. Remember when creating a document for saddle stitching, the total number of pages must be a multiple of 4.
- Wiro binding means pages are punched and inserted onto a "C" shaped wire spine which is then squeezed closed until it is round and creates a firm bind to hold the pages. Documents that are bound with wiro binding can be opened completely flat on a desk making them ideal for training manuals.
- Perfect binding puts all the pages together, the cover is wrapped aroundthe text and a flexible adhesive attaches the paper cover to the spine. Paperback novels are one example of perfect binding.
